From Exclusion to Empowerment: Chinese American Women in New England

The library's current exhibition features women interviewed for the Chinese American Women Oral History Project, cosponsored by the library and the Chinese Historical Society of New England. A reception—including a lecture by Jennie Chin Hansen, president of AARP—is scheduled for Monday, December 1, at 4 p.m. in the Radcliffe Gymnasium.  Read more.

2008–2009 Boston Seminar on the History of Women and Gender

The Boston Seminar Series on the History of Women and Gender—cosponsored by the Massachusetts Historical Society and the Schlesinger Library at the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study—offers scholars and students an opportunity to discuss new research on any aspect of the history of women and gender in the United States, without chronological limitation. There will be four programs, two each at the Schlesinger Library and the Massachusetts Historical Society. Seminar meetings will take place on Thursday evenings from 5:30 to 7 p.m. A light buffet supper will follow. For the full schedule and registration information, click here.
