Science

Charged with supporting advanced research in all disciplines and keenly aware of the special needs of scientists, the Radcliffe Institute’s science program supports clusters of scientists and interdisciplinary collaborations both inside Radcliffe and with departmental faculty at Harvard. Through the expertise and leadership of Barbara J. Grosz, Radcliffe's dean and Higgins Professor of Natural Sciences in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, the Institute provides means for laboratory scientists as well as theoreticians to undertake new directions of research while maintaining strong ties to their home institutions and ongoing research activities.

The Radcliffe Quarterly's Winter 2007 issue is devoted to science at Radcliffe. Read the cover story and learn about a few of the pathbreaking scientists at the Institute now and in the past.
